Albany Stakes

Royal Ascot 2012 - Albany Stakes - Samitar Wins

The Albany Stakes opens the day 4 Royal Ascot Meeting and this race has been upgraded in recent years. It looks quite an open race this year with a few horses in with a real chance of claiming the win, last season we had a top class winner in Memory who has gone onto become a top class type so it can often prove to be a key race for punters.

Teolane won at Naas last week for Jim Bolger and with his stable on form after the win of Banimpire she could be the one to beat in the Albany today as the betting suggests. Tom Dascombe has already had two winners this week and he and Michael Owen run the exciting Switcher in the race, she has won win from one start and should have no problems with slowing ground.

Albany Stakes Racecard

Mark Johnston, Saeed Bin Suroor and Aidan O´Brien have won nine of thelast ten runnings and the first- and last-named are likely to beinvolved in the finish again with Namibian and Regent Street, but Henry Cecil may well have the answer with the relatively unexposed SOLAR SKY who promises to be well suited by the stamina test.
