16/1 shot Habaayib ran a strong race to win the Albany Stakes with over a length to spare over race favourite, Lillie Langtry. The win earned Habaayib a 16/1 quote for the 2010 One Thousand Guineas. Third was the Henry Cecil trained, Chachamaidee

Albany Stakes 2008 Results
The early pace was surprisingly modest, and Cuis Ghaire ended up taking a bit of a grip passing the four-furlong pole, which wasn´t a surprise considering she was allowed to bowl along last time. She was much happier once switched to the left of early-leader April Pride, but was flatfooted when the pace began to increase approaching the two-furlong pole and briefly looked in trouble when coming under strong pressure. However, her stamina kicked in and she kept finding to get on top in the final furlong.
