The Norfolk Stakes 2011
Day three of the Royal Ascot festival kicks off with The Norfolk Stakes which is now a group 2 sprint race for 2 year olds. So much depends on getting a good break and this can often dictate the outcome.
The Ribblesdale Stakes 2011
The Ribblesdale Stakes is a group 2 for 3 year olds fillies over the Oaks distance of 1 mile 4 furlongs. This gives the horses that ran in the Oaks another chance for group honours.
The Royal Ascot Gold Cup 2011
The Gold Cup is one of the best spectacles of the Royal Ascot meeting as it is run over the extreme distance of 2 mile 4 furlongs and is a group 1 for 4 year olds and older.
Britannia Stakes
The Britannia Stakes is a handicap for 3 year olds over the mile course. There is usually a very large field and it is great to see the runners charge up the straight mile course.
The Hampton Court Stakes
The Queen Mary is the best sprint of the season for the 2 year olds and usually throws up a real good one. This 5 furlong race is always very competitive and it takes something special to come home in front.
The King George V Stakes
The King George V Stakes is a handicap for 3 year olds and is run over the 1 mile 4 furlong course. The Royal Ascot betting on the King George V is generally very open but it is always a very good handicap and offers value punters an opportunity to back a Royal Ascot winner at a potentially big price.
