Royal Ascot Results 2010 - Day 1

All the results from day 1 of the 2010 Royal Ascot meeting including places and odds for each race during the day, there were three Group 1 races on the card in one of the most exciting first days in recent memory. The day started with a win for Goldikova in the Queen Anne Stakes, the Superstar filly held off a late charge from Paco Boy to take the curtain raiser.

The other big win of the day was Canford Cliffs who was excellent in winning the St James Palace Stakes, he came past Dick Turpin some style to win his second Group 1 race of the season and looks set to be a real star.
