20 runners went to post with the Mick Channon trained Hatta Fort being a well backed ascot betting odds favourite at 3/1 coming from the plum gate of 11 which was a big advantage on day1. Past the half way stage Vhujon took it up but first time out Kingsgate Native and Drawnfromthepast battled it out in the closing stages with the Jamie Osborne trained Drawnfromthepast just getting up on the line to win at odds of 9/1 with Hatta Fort beaten into third.

Titus Alone was one of the form horses going into the race having ran really well a couple of days earlier in the Norfolk and won this race nicely from the well fancied Strike Up the Band. Titus Alone came through to take it up inside the final furlong and, although drifting left, kept on strongly.
